I guess you went too close to the subject for the camera to properly focus.

The subject in my opinion again is not something where I would prefer a close up shot. Maybe yes if you had the option to cut and shoot indoor with no other distractions (like what you see as another stem with two other tomatoes I believe).

I would have used the wide side of my lens and suitably changing the composition that I can find some less distracting elements. It would have been ok, if it was a bunch of tomatoes rather than just 2 but less interesting.

I hope the above is taken in the right spirit. Keep shooting.

Lighting is a bit harsh. Could overlook that a little, but the plastic container in the immediate background really, REALLY, takes away from the presentation.
