Smokinby jfwolpertComment by Ivory: Overall I like it, wish the shadow on the bottem of Marilyns face wasn't so strong and feel it would be better if you could see both his feet but I do like the picture in general. |

Colfax Avenueby jfwolpertComment by rinac: Of course it's a sign. They're ALL bloody signs (excuse the language)... sheesh. I'm with Sonya on this one, I liked the perspective. Well done, great focus and strong composition. |

Colfax Avenueby jfwolpertComment by msdoubletrouble: soooooooooooo "perspective" doesn't account for 'artistic'?
taking a 'picture of a sign' such as this, in my opinion DOES equate to artistry. YOU feel the image is right and YOU give YOUR 'look' to it.
you hang in there girlie...I'm like'n this shot :-)

Interesting approach to showcase the use of HDR to show dynamic range. THhe focus seems a little too soft |

Green to Yellow to Red = 6 Secondsby jfwolpertComment by karmat: I imagine the bright bright centers of the light were a turn off for some people. Something that may have helped to keep from overexposing them, but still getting your colors would be to expose the green, cover the lens until it went yellow, expose for yellow, then cover until it goes red, etc. I don't know about the little hand light. Part of me likes it becuase it gives soemthing else in the frame to see, and part of me is distracted with it for exactly the same reason.
Neat idea, though. definitely creative. |

Mardi Gras Memoriesby jfwolpertComment by Hye5: This is a hard subject to photograph what with all the different reflections. There's no central point of interest and too many reflective highlights here. |
