that's pretty cool, but it's a bit grainy. Maybe that was for effect, but I think I'd have liked it better without the grain.

Cute. These never actually win a ribbon, but they are good for a laugh. It looks a tiny bit overexposed.

Fun, but it would be even funnier if you would have a brown pencil too (Not saying this is brown offcourse)
But then again, humor in challenges is not rewarded.
Nice idea, did you realy draw that by hand?

Oh, if only it were that easy! Great concept! Lighting is a little harsh though.

I'm not looking at other comments so I don't get swayed. Here's my impression:

1) It certainly meets the challenge by even strict guidelines. I got no idea why you got 4 1-scores and 9 2-scores. That could just be back luck.

2) Control your background. The idea is great, but I'm a fanatic about controlling what is in my background. That car parked in the middle of the picture is hugely distracting and is probably the single part of the composition which converts it from a photograph to a "snapshot".

3) On the same lines, you may have done much better with a different location and a different angle. Perhaps the picture would have done better with a slightly more forward looking angle. This would have allowed more "hyperspace" landscape to go shooting by. (possibly landscape rather than portrait would have helped) That in combination with a more interesting location might have done well. Was there anywhere with fallen leaves on the ground? That could have made interesting textures. Even going as far as raking them up and dumping them on the road would at least show some dedication.

4) You did a very good job of keeping the car in focus. Not the easiest thing to do while trying to blur the background.

In the end, I think you got the jack with the 1 and 2 votes. Who knows why people would vote like this? Even "snapshots" don't deserve those scores.

This looks like you were stuck on the side of the door on this one! I hope you didn't drop your camera!
