Well because I can't display large format sizes (beyond 640 pixels), it always get resized to 640 unfortunately. I'd prefer 640 + the border, but that won't work on here.

Most people like the color version :) Wish I had a tripod (these were taken last year around August)....

Beautiful capture of nature. The mist really does it for me. I might prefer the duotone rendition of this if you had used THIS crop for it as my eye loves that water on the bottom spilling over the edge and misses that in the duotone version. Although i like the mystery in the duotone version it seems indeed just a tad too flat. I would have liked either version of this but now that you have shown both, i can't quite settle on either one. As is, i prefer this color rendition.

I like sepia but I think plain B and W would have been a better choice for this particular shot. The yellow/green cast I don't like. 6

Actually the light is just like this. You can see from the color version (another photo) that the light is bright on top. The sun is covered with mists and clouds at this elevation (i.e. the cloud level is this low, around 4000 ft above sea level), and there was a break in the cloud, thus the high exposure on top of the scene.

On my monitor the highlights and lighter midtones look a little too bright for my taste...I think a little darker would add to the atmosphere and maybe bring out a little more detail in the rocks on the far side. Like the setting and composition a lot...

Lighting is superb here. All attention goes right to the fountain, but my eye feels free to wander around.
