Good try but I'm afraid others will ding you for the noise caused by using a high ISO. Still a 7 from me for the effort.

The girl and the dog are well lit. The background could use a little variation in tone to give it a little more life, or to lead the viewer to the subjects.

The lighting is good. The background is nice and simple. It's well exposed and is sharp. I like the way they are looking at each other. I think I'd have tried a camera position further to the right so that the dog was less head on.
