The shot is absolutely amazing. It's gorgeous. I can't suggest much but I do feel that there's some unrequired space at the top. Great job.

I really like the idea behind it and even like the composition and elements. But as others have suggested, I think it would help a lot with some contrast adjustments.

Judging from a comment received on my submission..I believe this may be "Sandymaya`s" image?
You have been luckier than me in the respect that the lock mechanism is bigger and more obvious on your lock gate. I found it a very difficult subject to photograph in an interesting way without making the mechanism an afterthought and it`s affected my score.
You have managed to keep the mechanism the central theme..so I hope you are doing better than I am.
Good luck

The composition of this shot is quite good, although I would think a tighter crop may have revealed more detail in the web, and in the raindrops.
The photo doesnt give the impression of wind (I understand you had trouble with a lack of wind).

Theres not much else to say on this photo, it shows good focus, a nice composition, good lighting.

Thank you,
trouble was that in that week to enter the competition it was completely calm, no wind at all so I had to come up with something and this was the best I could think of. I am glad you like it :)

I have taken similar shots recently (see profile), more of a macro shot would have enhanced the impact I think - good lighting with black nackdrop.
