Blue Visitorby TechoComment by sherpet: Love this one very much...great shot here, as it is so soft, and lovely textures as well.....
At one time I had at least 70 budgies, of all types, and colors.
This one looks like a female, due to the brown patch above her beak.
We often caught the wild ones like this, if it looked like a runaway from a breeder, or a pet, as they usually don't survive out in the wild, due to so many prediators.
If you wanted to catch them, one can puts the hose on them, as they then can't fly when wet, and then much easier to catch. Message edited by author 2006-10-18 18:21:32. |

Blue Visitorby TechoComment by Techo: Thanks Tim. This is the 2nd time I've seen this kind here. Probably is a pet budgie that flew away from its owner. It did get along pretty well with the other bird and a pigeon that was pecking on some growth. |

Battle Scarby TechoComment by skewsme: Yes, what mpeters said.. thanks for the bugshooting suggestions. I am relieved to learn that someone else is feeling around for focus with macros. I think my problem with understanding your title during the challenge was that I didn't realize where his eye was or what it looked like unscarred. I'll have to bone up on my dragonfly anatomy ;-) Congratulations on your high score - a super-big deal in a challenge of this size and competitiveness. |
