None of those.. I just enjoy studio work..

What if you had tried to get a bit of a "panning effect" to emphasize the speed element. That way you could perhaps have increased the DOF a bit, and blurred the "wake" in the "speed stripes" instead. And gotten a "speedy" "water surface". That yellow brick at the bottom would have to go (unless of course the wheel is attached to it. Hmm). A bit of blue tack or clay instead, to get the bow to lift, perhaps? Or a bit of "spray" around the bow to hide the yellow brick?

Oke, I could have spend a little more time on the matter.. Also turning his head and making eye-contact would have helped to make it a better shot, even while I doubt it would have done better in the contest.
Oh well.. next time better..;)

Speed..by JondorComment by Tammer: :-) your picture and title make me smile. it's simple, but fun to me. Besides, I like legos. Good color and lighting. I hope people don't "kill" this because it's a toy and not a real boat. Good luck in the challenge. |

Speed..by JondorComment by Yo_Spiff: I can't give a low vote to a lego boat. I wouldn't be able to sleep. Nice out of the box thinking. |

Speed..by JondorComment by Melethia: You'll probably find that this won't do very well - toys rarely do. Decent shot with nice focus on the "driver" - looks as though you provided a nice wake behind the boat as well. |
