Can I Play Too?by vonautschComment by frisca: I really loved the look and feel of this shot, I'm so glad you placed well! Its not what you typically think of when you are told "action of sports" but it says so much more, that I can't help but be drawn to it. |

Can I Play Too?by vonautschComment by faidoi: Very emotive picture.Beautiful composition. The depth of field is incredible. I like how the boy is wearing black and your eyes automatically focus on him. It really brings him to the foreground. This is definitely a ribbon winner. |

Can I Play Too?by vonautschComment by jjbeguin: Fine image and story.
One tip I will give you though (if you are using photoshop) is not to change the mode of your photo to grayscale but leave it in RGB. Go into the Image - Adjustments - Channel Mixer menu, select "monochrome" and start moving around the sliding cursors until you get an optimal range of grays. In this image the lawn texture and tone would be improved a lot by darkenig in the green channel.
I am sure this will eventually make sense to you. |

Can I Play Too?by vonautschComment by RiderGal: This is a cute interpretation of the challenge, and it does have to do with sports, although there isn't much action being caught here, I like the feeling that this boy is out, while the others are in, and it tells the story of how sports are for young kids. I liked your composition a lot, and I feel that black and white was the right choice for this photo. Not extremely exciting but nice all the same. |

Can I Play Too?by vonautschComment by Firstrich1: This was just "BAM" to me. I love this shot. you located the young man so well, his clothing is a nice contrast to the rest of the image. Your use of B&W and the overall tone was just a part of all that works for me. The DOF, again was also done very well. I may not do the best job taken shots but I think I know when I see when someone else has. 10...10...10! |
