congratulations, he's a beauty, I remember the birth of my 3 kids like it happend yesterday.. my oldest is 14 years old :)

this is a great picture for the personal album, and I never vote lower than 5 on babypictures, just so I don't hurt anybodys feelings, I got hammered with "disgusting" "ugly" and other really bad words when I posted a picture of my son, so I don't do the same to others :)

but there is no need to here, this is a beautiful boy, he looks really relaxed and safe, I remember seeing this picture a few days ago in the forums, I looked through your portfolio and there are some great pictures there.

I read a famous saying once," babies only look good to the parents, so babypictures does to"

emotional pictures like this actually are only emotional to the owner and just pictures to others.

and us few that have been precent to the birth of our babies this is an emotional picture and really beautiful, hope you do well in this challenge, to get a low rating of your proudest moment can really hurt ones feelings.

there are some images in your portfolio that would have done really well in this challenge :)

cheers dansig :)

Very nice. I can see the downy hairs of a newborn on his forehead. I'm a bit bothered by the cropping at the left of the frame. I realize the idea was to really close in on his face but his chest cropped at this point creates an odd shape that disturbs me.

Congratulations :)
You might have used curves or levels to darken the grey areas and make full use of the tonal range. 6.

This was before my time, so it's my first time seeing it. What a wonderful image! It should be a poster for our times! We've all been granted the wonderful faculty of thought and reasoning, but how many people actually use it 100%? In fact in most people it has atrophied...what a wonderful symbolic representation of this.
