Online Bulletin Boardby Art RoflmaoComment by dsa157: excellent pun and pretty well composed image. I can't really see how the board is attached to the cloths pins - it looks like it is just hovering in front rather than being attached, but I might have arrived at your clever pun without the help of the title had I looked at the image long enough. well done. |

Xylophobia - Fear of Wooden Objectsby Art RoflmaoComment by CEJ: Excellent image! This so well portrays what so many other shots in this challenge don't - fear. Excellent poses for the Woodies/Plastics. Very nice overall composition and excellent perspective! Very well done! |

Xylophobia - Fear of Wooden Objectsby Art RoflmaoComment by Bear_Music: I like this one conceptually, very much. It's skilfully lit and composed as well. My only technical nit is that the highlights on the foreground figure are a bit too hot. Given the obvious thought and skill that went into this, I find myself curious why you chose to have the plastic figure OOF and the larger of the wooden ones IN focus.
For me, the illustrated phobia "belongs" to the plastic figure, who fears the wooden ones, so it seems to me HE should be sharply in focus. I believe it would not only be better conceptually, but compositionally as well; I'd like to see the plane of focus dropping off so the taller woody is shilghtly OOF and the smaller woody noticeably so.
Anyway, I like it :-) Feel free to PM me if you're so inclined, I done voted this one :-) |
