Day Five: Catching Fliesby Art RoflmaoComment by colorcarnival: lol great expression and love the wavy hair. and here you get just a glimpse of his beautiful eyes!
tell me tho about the skin tone. I have seen some comments saying that this is a good color for it and on my screen it seems to have just a very slight bluish cast. Is this a preferred color for skin tone in black and white? |

Day Six: Appena una piantaby Art RoflmaoComment by CNovack: Wow, I love the details & textures you can see in these leaves. Very sharp focus and the details really pop off the page...I don't know what aperture & shutter speed you used but if you use a higher aperture & slower shutter speed you could get the leave in the foreground to be in as sharp detail as the other two (although that would also increase the DOF and probably eliminate or lessen the bokeh effect such that the leaves don't pop off there background environment as much). |

Day Four: CORNEREDby Art RoflmaoComment by CNovack: Yes, this cat does make an excellent photo subject:-) I like that intense stare as he/she is crouched down under the car - the mood projected is that he/she is threatened by our presence and that we are invading this cat's space as it looks at us suspiciously. Lighting and detail are great in this shot. |

Day Two: Comtemplativeby Art RoflmaoComment by CNovack: I have to agree whole-heartedly with Colorcarnival's assessment. This portrait of you really does look like a photo for the book jacket of your next book especially against the backdrop of the shelved books in the background. I would NEVER have thought of utilizing the light from a laptop to illuminate the subject but you have done an excellent job here! The side lighting on the one side of your face subtly focuses attention to where you have posed your hand in a position that projects the contemplative mood of the subject. My only critique is that in small areas of your hand and the top part of the forehead it is a little overexposed and detail is lost - a little use of the burning tool to tone down the blown out areas should work nicely. |

A Shore Thingby Art RoflmaoComment by crayon: funny thing - your photo made me recall this tongue twister from school "she sells sea shells on the sea shore"
the shells and the shallow DOF are very lovely. |
