I'm afraid this one stands out to me as a dead 5. Sorry. Nothing wrong with it at all. The composition is decent, the b/w conversion has good tones, but nothing really grabs my interest, either. I'm curious what the color version looks like.

Simple and effective, the sky could have used a little more treatment increasing the dramatic nature of this image. A very nice grayscale image, it does suffer a little bit from being flat in tone. A little more use of the zone system in adjusting brightness and contrast would have helped a lot. A good solid entry into the challenge.

A technical success, it's less than successful in an artistic sense. DOF control is on the edge of being good and the lighting isn't over done creating blooms. The subject is less than interesting. Perhaps a different background with a slightly different angle would have helped. A little more thought and better framing would have brought the rating higher.
