focus is ok, I can make out feather hairs, good. Color and saturation are good. Composition is ok, but too much blank space above. You might try this on landscape making the photo wider and not taller. And if it had a nice catchlight in the eye this would be one of the better shots I've seen today.
Nice job. I started using fill flash on birds to get the catchlight, it works and doesn't seem to bother them a bit.
