Autumnby ShaneBlakeComment by DrAchoo: Nice contrasts. I like it as an abstract. The reds would have been better with a polarizer I think. The glare is a little muddy looking. 7 |

Autumnby ShaneBlakeComment by jenesis: Very nice, love the constrasts of color and it flows very nicely with the round leaves on the outside. I like how you used the opposite leaves as the backgrounds. Well done. |

The Business Endby ShaneBlakeComment by DrAchoo: I did not look at the comments so this is all me. :) I can tell you easily your subject cost you .2-.3 in score. Guns are controvertial and you will always find people who are going to vote their opinion. (I look at your scores and see there are more 1's than 2's. Usually that has a reason, and I believe this is it.)
Technicals are quite nice. Your focus is "spot on" as they like to say here. I take it it's f/4.0 not f/40. I would have tried bracketing shots to increase the DOF a bit. I don't want the person to be all the way in focus, but maybe he's a little too blurry. I'd have to see some other shots.
The greyscaling is nice as well. It looks like you were most worried about the end of the gun, and did a good job there. The person is a bit drab, but perhaps that's good and allows him to blend into the background more.
I think it's a decent picture. It's the subject which got you... |

Autumnby ShaneBlakeComment by FotoMunki: This is a nice composition - well executed. I could see this in a poster shop or on a wall somewhere. Looks like it may have been a touch over sharpened, but still a striking picture. |

Autumnby ShaneBlakeComment by Bear_Music: One of the 2-3 best of the "designer" shots. Very organic triptych, nice work with colors and forms. I hope you do well. SO many entries seem to be accidental triptychs, as it were; no special reason for them to be triparite except the challenge theme. |

Autumnby ShaneBlakeComment by Jutilda: I love the leaves on leaves. Great use of red yellow and green. This is really clever. So imaginative and fun to view. It has all of the holiday colors!!! |
