Yes, this is cliche and overdone, but it is really well done and as such I am giving you my top pick (9).
As far as I know, this could be your very first attempt at this type of shot, and you just spent 6 hours straight on it. Just because it has been done before, doesn't have to mean it has been done by YOU before, and you did very well.
The moment, the lighting and the focus are spot on!

I am not sure how you scored so low as I find your image to be well above average.. possibly because a few other people also used IR and the voters got tired of it?

I personally really liked the colors and tones, especially of the trees as it seemed to me they fit the "farm" scene well.
