interesting, but might have looked better (maybe i'm just missing something here) if you had let the trap snap, then coaxed someone into just slipping their hand underneath for a few shots.

Very fitting for this challenge, and very classy presentation. Technically beyond reproach, and if I were to nit pick, I'd comment that the image exposure is a bit blown but that is not enough to seriously detract from the beauty of this presentation. One other comment. I feel that a simple border would have sufficed here. Yet, your border if not sufficiently tacky to be an issue. Overall a strong entry that I hope does well. Good luck.

I really like the set up you have here. The idea, the tones and the combination of elements is really nice. Yes, some things could have been improved. The background would be better if a little smoother, or without the crease at the bottom in back, however the color is perfect. I would lose the doily thing under the lantern. Other than that, I might like just a bit more space on the left of the lamp.

The lighting you got from this is really nice. I might like to try to highlight the book titles somehow - maybe a slight dodge? Nice shot (and excellent choice of reading :) )
