False Convergenceby grandmarginalComment by theSaj: I guess one could say they were more trapezoids than triangles....
But it's a good shot...

City Mazeby grandmarginalComment by Skip: this is cool. love the composition. you might consider sizing your copyright notice down a bit, though. when it's that large, it becomes something of a visual distraction. |

Serenity Under Chaos by grandmarginalComment by Di: *Critique Club*
This Beautiful photo has very little wrong with it. The vignetting in my humble opinion is the only thing that kept this from being a Blue ribbon. If it had been a litte darker, or a little finer I beleive you would have had your first of what i see as many Blue ribbons.
The composition is supurb.
Congratulations on you Red ribbon!! |

False Convergenceby grandmarginalComment by 2Shay: This is really an awesome photo. I think it was misjudged in the voting by many. The two triangles that make up this photo are so "in your face" that you blow right past them looking for something less obvious. I know that I missed it during voting. The triangle I found was the one formed by the water. "Yeah, OK, its a triangle"...I read the title "False Convergence" and started looking deeper into the center of the photo for a triangle. "OK, I vaguely see another where the points come together in the center." It is not until now that I see the brilliance of this photo. The two halves of the photo forming distinctly different contrasts and colors. I am truly sorry that I missed it in voting or you would have gotten a much better score from me. I think art sometimes requires time for it to "soak in". Even as I go back to look at it while writing this I am seeing more. The building top at the upper left forming another contrasting triangle. Superb work! |
