lightings way too harsh but coudl be cool with more even lighting so we could clearly see whats going on on this street.

Great image !! I just wish the shadow of the pole was not interupted by the dog, this would have given it much more impact. Different but that's what I like about it.

Hi Linda,

Thanks heaps for your time in writing the critique for me.
Your comments were very generous and encouraging.
The pink one was a galah amongst the other white cockies.

Yes, the "pattern" was stretched.

I had just taken it, and off on holidays the next day. When I saw the pattern category I couldn't help myself but put it in anyway as I don't often get a picture I am so happy with.

I guess this is wasting peoples time a bit, not truly fitting the category.

Cheers,
Annie

** Greetings from the Critique Club **

What a stunning capture! I love the clarity of the birds flying over head, especially with just the one showing it's colors. Great focus! Colors are also very sharp - vivid. Truly impressive. Composesd perfectly also, almost as if you had placed the birds in the sky yourself. Great shooting!
As for meeting the challenge, it was a bit of a stretch. I am guessing by the title your pattern was the pink pattern of the one bird?

Greetings from the Critique club. After viewing and reviewing your photo I have some suggestions that may help. First off you did meet the challenge, username The kid, and thats definately a kid.

The small size to your photo will definately drop your score. Always try and remember to use the maximum 640 on the longest side of your entry. This entry seems pretty much a snapshot. Certainly not the type of ribbon winning photo thats required to score well here. The lighting is low and the background is busy. I also have to mention that the nose droppings definatly will effect your score. While it does provide some humor to the picture. I dont think it helped your score here. Good luck with future entries.

Hmmm, this is a really nice picture but to me it seems to illustrate randomness rather than a pattern.

Like the shot, but doesn't seem too connected with the challenge theme
