Nice composition. Doesn't seem quite in focus, either that or you need a deeper DOF. The red wall seems to be in focus but not the chicken. Shame.

Tee hee. . . this is so cute! I've always wanted to use that line on one of my photographs of ugly critters :) This is perfect! Quite underrated for this challenge -- but considering that an "8" score didn't even win a blue ribbon, tells ya something about the bar on this challenge :) Anyway, I love it!

This works well. Nice catch! Hopefully not everyone can see this, but on my monitor I can see a fairly wide halo around the swans. It looks like maybe the feathering area from a selection to isolate the swans for some post-processing treatment? A few diagonal white streaks showing in the lower right area also...some branches removed maybe? All speculation of course. :D Well done overall. Good luck in the challenge.
