Drop on a tackby lastefComment by puzzled: Nice, nice, nice. The drop is exquisite. The white stuff under the tack and rock are slightly distracting, but the eye is drawn to that beautiful water drop and the nail of the tack. |

Emilia in the windowby lastefComment by gaurawa: Hello from the critique Club :)
First look at the photo doesn't really say its a portrait as I am distracted by the other elements in this photo. For one, the right third of the photo is predominantly occupied by blown-out outdoors which serves no purpose.
A portrait should be such that it draws the attention of the viewer to the subject and let it be distracted. From your description, you wanted to portray her nature about looking out the window, but even in this case, donot let the window steal the show, it can be a part, but just a minimal part, for reference only and the major part should be yout cat.
This is one quick and dirty fix trying to remove some of the distracting elements from the photo
If you have any questions please feel free to pm me
thanks,
Gaurawa

Drop on a tackby lastefComment by dahkota: Hey - I've seen this before! Wait - that was a branch. There are no TACKS in this image! ;) Good choice using a blue tack - greeny would have been tacky. Good DOF for a macro shot. Good originality. 8 because I want to. When is the drop going to fall? I can't wait any longer! |

Drop on a tackby lastefComment by DustDevil: This is great image.....I am just not sure if a different colored or type of tack would have made it better. I still gave it a 7. |

Standing proudby lastefComment by ReallyColorBlind: Good quality photo. I'm not sure if you cropped this or not. If you did, I would have maybe cropped a little less so that the building could be seen in it's surrounding. If you didn't crop, I might have stepped back a little (or zoomed out). |
