The Long Crossingby docpjvComment by puzzled: Really nice. The fact that you've cropped all but the crosswalk and used a fisheye (?) to make the curvature draws my eye to the upper right nicely, and it such a way that it feels the crosswalk never ends. Fantastic b&w balance, too. |

The Long Crossingby docpjvComment by seanernet: Where's the sign???? I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and imagine that you are thinking of sign as this "a mark having a conventional meaning and used in place of words or to represent a complex notion" Good, creative, but I think many will misunderstand.
Addition: You had to email me and tell me that it was a crosswalk. That's hilarious that you think it could be misconstrued as anything but a crosswalk. Good luck.
Also this image would look better without the blue ghosting in the upper right hand corner. |

The Long Crossingby docpjvComment by Artan: This is an interesting play on the roadside theme, but is still within the bounds of reasonable interpretation. The diagonal composition gives good strength and dynamics.
The loss in depth of field in the top right hand corner is a little distracting but on the whole I feel this is an an inovative and interesting submission.

The Long Crossingby docpjvComment by arngrimur: I like the composition. The colour and focus shift in the top right corner feels strange. Perhaps a tad oversharpened? -7 |
