The Birdsby fifieldComment by riversong: Ha, I get it! I looked at your image a long time but finally see the water and plants sticking out! I like it better as birds. They look like otherworldy creatures. Thanks for something different!

The Birdsby fifieldComment by aznym: I find this image beautiful. I like both the background and foreground. There's something rather unreal about it and I am still trying to figure out what sort of birds they could be with my very limited knowledge on them. Well done. |

Shadow of the Mountainsby fifieldComment by Beetle: I don't see how this fits the challenge. The mountain is pretty impressive and with a bit of play with levels you could make the photo "pop" a lot more. |

Journeyby fifieldComment by Neil: I like this concept a lot. A couple of things might have improved it and made it more a dream--some softening, or better yet a soft glow, and a bit different posture by the person. It looks here like a candid, but if you had posed the person, perhaps looking anywhere but down, and without carrying anything (unless you wanted to give him a lot of stuff to carry and make it a burden!). If you can, I think this would be wonderful for a reshoot! Nice work, would love to see any other versions you create! |

The Birdsby fifieldComment by Beetle: I don't understand what I'm looking at here. But since I see some in-focus triangles, you start with a 5. |

Journeyby fifieldComment by Artifacts: This image has some nice things going for it, like the treelines and the dandylions gone to seed. I suspect this is just your camera over which you have no control but the overall general low technical quality hurts this image. I'm unsure the person in the image helps it or not. It might be better without him. The focus is not particularly good either.
If your camera is capable of doing macro I would recommend retaking this image from ground level with several dandylions closeup in sharp focus and with the treeline and sky behind them in recognizable but soft focus. |

Shadow of the Mountainsby fifieldComment by whagerbaumer: Outside? Inside? The trees and telephone poles against the black mountain side give a nice perspective. The overall sense of this picture is one of a storm approaching. There is evidently sunlight behind the camera, yet that makes the title fotally incomprehensible. A 4. |
