I traveled that route MANY times at night between home in Chicago and Purdue University. The first thing I thought about was Gary, IN when this challenge was announced. Glad you got the shot (and a top 10!). Shame you missed the flames out of the smoke stacks though, it really is a sight to see. Congrats!

I admire the green tone of this photo. Green is my favorite color and in this image it has an amuzement park feeling to it. Green is color of nature and makes this industrial "monster" look friendly. I also like the consistency of color in this photo because there are no competing colors. Perhaps the story of this picture is that industry polutes the environment but also ensures society's prosperity.
