Good job making your stars show up so well. Mine never look like stars, just little noise specks on the picture. These really look like stars in a night sky.

Good work on the exposure, but not terribly exciting composition.

A couple of points for having the stars in focus. Other than that, there isn't much to hold my attention.

Great tight shot. Capturing a moment with a dog is hard! You did it.

Awwwwwww. I LOVE him (or her) !!! I'm wondering if it will get marked down a little because it doesn't have a "people" in it, but it's a great picture nonetheless!

If your title was 'dog-tired' it would reflect how I feel. I'm tired of dogs. Don't think I'll vote low on you becaue you've sent in 'just another' dog picture. There's other things that you have to improve on. First, this challenge is about humans and their pets, and the connection between them. I can't see any connection here, as there's no person in the picture. And it's really hard to show the connection between the photographer himself (you) and the subject (your dog).
Let's have a look at the technical elements. The piece of wood could have been a nice frame for the shot, had you cropped away the carpet below it and the 50px on the right. The direct flash you used caused too bright reflections on the wood, it makes the dog's eyes look weird and the picture has a 'flat' look. There are no interesting shadows which might have created a stronger athmosphere which this shot would definately have profited from. I give you a 1.

I just love dogs! And I really like the way you frame him/her with the wood piece. Did you use a flash? It kind of looks like it, because of the green of the eyes, and the reflections on the wood. If you did, maybe try the shot again with just natural lighting & use a longer exposure w/tripod or rest it on something. I think it would make this good photo an excellent photo. And I think it would look even better in blk/wht. Great job!
