Mystery Rock by bryanbrazilComment by Neil: Fantastic image and postprocesing Bryan. Great scene, light, and use of the Canon 10-22 lens for depth! Congratulations! |

Fannette Islandby bryanbrazilComment by bryanbrazil: You're totally right, I thought about that after uploading, but never got around to fixing it. Thanks for the constructive comment!

The very foreground feels too bright to me also, it's leading my eye down and out. I'd have tossed a gradient on there to contain it and force my eyes into the distance of this remarkable scene. |

Mystery Rock by bryanbrazilComment by bryanbrazil: Yeah, the road is pretty bad, although right now all the roads in Death Valley have recently been graded and are in the best condition they've been in years. I didn't get any flats on the road, but I did spend several hours helping some people from New York that got two flat tires in their rental 4X4. They never did make it to the Racetrack! Incidentally, after making it back to the paved road, I got a flat tire after about a mile. It was just a nail and not a rock puncture, so my tire was OK. I guess there really is such a thing as karma!

Mystery Rock by bryanbrazilComment by mpeters: Originally posted by bryanbrazil: No fisheye here. I was using my 10-22 about a foot from the rock.
Originally posted by mpeters: Congrats. This place is so unbelievably flat that the fisheye provides a great dynamic. | |
