and i think it reflects the atmosphere of icelandic landscapes much better than the sunshine-and-blue-sky shots...

It's quite liberating, isn't it, to open up and work the bad weather, the harsh times? That's what I prefer on the Cape, actually; winter over summer anytime for me, given the choice. And as a resident of the Carmel/Monterey area for 4 years in the late 70's, of necessity I came to love the sullen light of winter and how it transformed the landscape.

One gets that sense here. Nicely done!

The landscapes that typically grace the front page usually bore me but this one is rather interesting. I'm so glad you resist including, the hyper cliche, tiny figure in the distance.
