Its a stamp on the backing piece; I couldn't figure out how to remove it (my photoshop skills are a negative 50!) :) |

The Keyhole to Natureby barrett_bearComment by Pangurban: This is a really clever concept but possibly not 'landscape' enough for this particular challenge. (I didn't vote BTW - just coming back for a look) Keep it in mind if a challenge about framing comes up. I like the reflections.
A couple of other things you might like to consider ( feel free to ignore - just my personal thoughts):
Looks a bit noisy/grainy. I can't see your ISO but if it's high, then consider dropping it down a bit - keep it low if light is good and this keeps noise down. It could also be that you have cropped a wider image - which might also explain it being a bit 'soft' (ie focus not as sharp as it could be) but this is also a side effect of shake if hand holding- tripod or cushion to rest camera on?
And if at all possible, try and straighten image up (or make a determined angle eg pointing keyhole corner to the frame corner). This looks a bit squiffy. If it were me I'd have straightened the keyhole and probably aimed to have the waist of it slap bang across the middle line.
And as a general rule of thumb (excuse me if you already know): if ever shooting water do make sure that the top of the water is straight! People get marked down heavily if it looks as though the water is on an angle (it would flow away!) |
