Thank you for all your nice comments and encouraging. I learned something again. The fact is that I did not anticipate this photograph to finish so high in the voting. I had some other submission candidates, one of them taken also in the cathedral and others with different themes. Now I see that choosing this one was a good decision.
As for the actual crop, I did not want to include the end of the corridor and the floor because there were some distracting elements which - I think - would have ruined the purity of the scene.

Yes, that is perfectly to the point of the challenge. Very high quality. I know the main subject are arcades, but I wish there was the end of the corridor visible. Would've add some atmosphere to the whole composition. 9.
