a well taken shot but not a very interesting subject. go in search of interesting windows or doors! :)

Looks like something I might have seen in a model home. Is that a Red Flier?
The only thing in this photo that I feel could have made an improvement, since you could have used selection tools, is remove the distracting image behind the sheers and add something woodsy or country.

i really like the elements that make up this image, the curtains, the plant, dog, lamp and easy chair. i think a more dramatic lighting would help the composition. maybe with the lamp on and a less of the rest of the lighting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this dog in the 20 Minute Workout? Nice curtains and nice setting. Photo seems to be missing a bit of focus. I like the feel of this shot; the dog makes it work. Jacko. 9

"Critique Club Comment"

COMPOSITION- Composition is pretty good. I like that you don't have the girl centered in the middle of the photo and more space in front of her. It gives the feeling of going somewhere. The angle you used also is very good. I think the photo would have been a little more powerful if you had her looking the way she is going and both hands on the rope instead of waving.

BACKGROUND- Background is a little busy with all the houses. More impact could have been had if you used a bigger aperature to blur them out more. Also what I think would have been neat would have been to use a slightly slower shutter speed and pan with her to get a motion effect.

CAMERA WORK- your exposure is great on this. My only thought is to slow the shutter to give more of a sense of motion.

DIGITAL PROCESSING- Your compression on this is great. No artifacts.

MY OPINION- I think this was a nice shot. Fits the challenge great.

Is she travelling on 'Rosebud' into or away from suburbia? Apart from being a comment to the theme the picture as such doesn't really have any extra qualities.
