The last baby picture I did, which had some similar issues, I ended up converting to a duotone so that the emphasis would be on the baby's cute expression and not on the surrounding colors. |

Harrisonby Frank BeckmanComment by TooCool: My what a cute boy! Unfortuately this shot doesn't do him justice. This shot suffers from unimaginitve lighting. From the harsh shadows around his face and arm on the left side of the shot, it looks like you used the on board flash. You are better off setting up a bunch of house lamps if you don't have other lights. Move them around till you get nice shadows and highlights and TURN OFF THE FLASH! You also probably need to use a tripod to get camera still enough for good sharpness.
