Beatleby JackoComment by alanfreed: Excellent! The details and depth of field are just awesome, not to mention that the toning seems to be perfect for the subject. Well done. |

Beatleby JackoComment by kiwiness: Awesome photo, the texture on the bug is so detailed. It kinda looks like it is floating above the plant somehow. And yep, I like it - 10. |

Beatleby JackoComment by carsten: One of my favourites this week. Good composition and the sepia tone is perfect. So is focus and the cropping. I don´t know how you could have done it better. Meets the challenge very well. Well done and good luck! |

Beatleby JackoComment by dsidwell: With your composition and lighting and fantastic depth of field, you make this beetle seem like a heavenly creature! Very nice tones and sharpness, too. Just a great photo. 10 |

Beatleby JackoComment by eloise: Marvellous shot. Great crisp macro, with DOF just short enough to fade the legs and plant but leave all the antennae and most of the body in focus. The lighting is wonderfully numinous, too, and the toning subtle and just enough to accentuate, instead of taking over. |

Beatleby JackoComment by adine: Nice detail on the exoskelleton. Very nice composition with the body of the bug coming down from the corner, his antenae waving in empty space. small DOF allows the viewer to focus attention on the bug. The shaddow in the back isn't terribly distracting, I just keep looking at it wondering how it fits in. I think this might work in color too. But its dramatic in doutone. 8 |
