The Lady in the Lampby JudiComment by macrothing: 6 - I like the effort, but it is not strange enough (I know) for me - as in, looks too staged, maybe a much bolder crop on the left, to eliminate 'normality', who knows. The compositional balance is also out - what with that lonely lamp on its own on the right there and all. I like that element. Fairly minor, but there seems to need a whisker nudge up on the left. |

The Lady in the Lampby JudiComment by pixelpig: This resists all my attempts to understand, explain, or even comment on it, it is so awesomely amazingly brilliant. I looked at it for 10 min. before I saw the 4th lamp. The mirror (I think it is a mirror?) is a stroke of genius. If I could give it 10 twice, I would. |

The Lady in the Lampby JudiComment by pawdrix: I see a lot of these juxtapostion shots that I don't honestly understand. Top Hat's, umbrellas, eggs, nudes, jumping fish, birds nests, old telephones, clocks, dried flowers, leafless trees etc. all placed together in frame... I need to know why? |

The Lady in the Lampby JudiComment by Tlee05: I would liked to see this in colour. I'm not sure what the mirror is about? I think you could of excluded it. |

The Lady in the Lampby JudiComment by Louis: This is the "odd = fine art" school, a school I don't agree with. It's weird, I give you that, but is it you? Is there anything being said or shown here that you really care about? In my view, that's the definition of fine art; that the photographer communicated something. Weird is everywhere, and therefore is not unique or interesting. Technically, a fine photo, suitably sharp, b/w well done, depth of field perfect, light wonderful, composition pleasing. |

The Lady in the Lampby JudiComment by ekmai: amazing processing here. I struggle so hard to get a good B&W conversion. Hope you will share with us how you converted and adjusted this. 8 |
