I love how the size and scale of this picture makes the subject seem distant and out of reach. Very well done!

Like the light on the board and translucent pieces, especially.

Not a game I play often, but how come the clear Rook isn't in the corner? And the Knight who is in that spot appears to be bleeding internally (yikes!)?

If you believe I have CHEATED in this challenge, then request my image be verified by Site Council. Otherwise, you owe me a public apology. You don't go accusing people publicly without PROOF!!!

Judi, I don't think he thought you were cheating, I don't think he thought at all! He just constantly hands out these smart ass rude and offensive comments. I've just read through the comments he's made since he came here over two years ago and he often writes that the image has been sitting on their computer for months. He's obviously never taken the time to even glance at the rules.
Up to last night, his average vote was 2.9! Today it's up to 3.1. Great, eh? He's never taken part in any challenge, never commented in any thread, never looked at any photographs.
I'm actually wondering whether he should be reported to the site council. He's commented so unpleasantly on photos from people who are only on their 3rd challenge, I hope they don't give up because of him. He certainly doesn't know the meaning of constructive criticism. My God! We're here to learn, not to be insulted.
All the best, Judi. You know you're a damn good photographer.

Great chess set, and so is the picture. I also like the contrast between the cool set and the warm hand. My only nitpicking is outside photography (and that it is the white who should make the first move...)

Nicely composed. I like the use of symmetry. It works well in this image. I am a bit confused as to why the front frosted pawn is (or at least appears to be) leaning forward. Perhaps a lens effect?

Oh, by the way, the knight and the rook of the clear pieces.... well... uhm.... I think you know.
