Chocolate Anyone?by JudiComment by Penny Lane: One of my two tens. Very tempting but I feel sick just thinking about eating it! The red cherry and strawberry add that little splash of colour. well done. |

I Wishby JudiComment by Art Roflmao: Ooh- looks like your hair color is slightly conagious, Judi. ;-)
Not sure what happened to this in the challenge - maybe just lacks impact - partly beacause of the lack of expression. Whaddo I know. I like it though. |

Alaska (Mix & Strain)by JudiComment by bvy: Almost perfect. I would like to have seen the bottom of the pouring liquid not cropped off. An eight for you. |

Tranquilby JudiComment by bassbone: Awesome warm and rich light here Judi - I am a big fan of this one and this spot - great work as usual.
I hope you don't mind, but here are a couple things I noticed...
I just wonder if a slightly different crop or a slightly different composition may have taken this up even a higher notch for the DPC crowd. The placement of the shore seems very centered, almost as if it is two shots - one of the shore and one of the water. It seems to me that it was hard to decide how to crop to get the feel of the actual spot and this is a compromise. Second, the crop of the top of the tree in the center also makes it seem ever so slightly missing something.
One thing that I think really makes this shot work, besides the incredible capture of the 'light', is the diagonal line created by the shore and continued into the water below the trees on the right. |
