Thanks for the comments, this is a fantastic setting, it's in a very small canyon. It's loaded with ancient petroglyphs, the photographer with the green cover is using large format film, that's my gang patiently waiting for him to complete his work. Somehow we got separated, I decided to take a shot of the "action". You can spot some writings at the left corner near the water bottle. I have lots of shots from this outing should anyone be interested in seeing them.

overal the composition is nice i am trying to figure out where the subject ishe photographer or the people if its the people then why isnt the camera not facing them if its the photographer then why is he facing the wall

This is a nice shot. A bit more shadow detail would improve it as well as a little surface detail in the white areas of the building wall on the right.
