Whistle Down the Windby ArtanComment by espy2: I don't usually like comments or give them, but since candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to comment on every photo in this challenge.
Nice capture, but it is lacking focus and feel. I would have used more USM and toned it with a deep sepia or b/w conversion. A 5 vote from me. |

Window to the Soulby ArtanComment by loseme: *Critique Club*
"Window to the Soul" was personally one of my favorites into the Best of 2002 challenge. Something about this piece just grabbed my attention, I am really surprised it didn't to better. But I guess everyone has very different opinions about what is appealing.
The reflection is awesome, I think you had a wonderful concept. I like how the reflection is what is staring at us the viewer. The composition is great and has a nice background in contrast to the orange suit. Maybe voters just had a hard time with the piece because it was a toy and we had the Playtime and Children's Toy just about at the same time. Technically I think this is a great piece and personally I really like your work. I look forward to your future entries. |
