but something in the colors.... this has to be the glass reflections. Maybe a polirizer filter would help out here, but as for the post process, try adding some more contrast. It could help showing the vibrant colors this tang fish really has.

Nice shot, pretty fish. I think the glass is causing small distortions which come across as reducing sharpness, similar to the way chromatic abberations can reduce sharpness. I am not sure how you filtered this, but perhaps more experimentation might clear it up. In addtion, you can see the fish's tail there's some movement blur, so higher shutter speeds would be helpful.

Lighting on this one isn't quite as good, imo. Still, in it's own right, I think this is well done. Good clarity, focus and tones. I just like the original one a little better because of the brightness.
