It's all in the eyeby BrookiedComment by quiet_observation: You can do my portrait anytime - if you can make a goat look that good - I can imagine what you could do for an elderly lady wrinkles and all.
I love everything about this - the high contrast between the goat and background, the detail in the fur(?), and of course the eye.

It's all in the eyeby BrookiedComment by noraneko: Darren,
Congrats on that killer score! My new goal is to hit 6.5, and you beat me to the punch. Good on ya mate, as I believe your countryman say? Please forgive me if I erroneously borrowed that expression. The sentiment remains the same: super score on an intriguing photo. One of the few instances of someone pulling off selective desat without a lot of backlash. And BTW - look at that average from the commenters! You've got a fan club! :-) |

Life Giver, As Simple As That!by BrookiedComment by aKiwi: There are a few things that I don't like about this image. Firstly the lighting is about as bad as it can get.. Never use the on camera flash direct on from so close. It creates hot spots, reflections, and nasty shadows. You can create a great photo by using side window light, or even a bright desk lamp from the side creating interesting shadows.
Also the crease lines indicating that a bra has very recently been taken off don't help the image. Before a nude shoot at least 15 mins to 1/2 an hour without tight underwear makes for better pictures. |
