Mortarium & Pistillumby BrookiedComment by dsterner: The porcelain against the white background is very soft and soothing. All is very clear and focused and the herb (lavender?)offers nice contrast for a very pleasing composition. Compared to some of the other fine photographs in the challenge, this one makes me feel better just by looking at it!
One tiny nitpic...the top might (?) be cropped too close? |

NIC (Network Interface Card)by BrookiedComment by Melethia: Appears to me to be a good clean product shot. I like the angle you chose. About the only thing I'd suggest (and pineapple's suggestions are the ones you should go with anyway) is to "whiten" the white a bit more - seems a bit bluish cast to me. |

NIC (Network Interface Card)by BrookiedComment by pineapple: I'll make your 7th comment so that one out of three of your predictions, at least, comes true. You would have done much better strongly backlighting the NIC - at least some IC boards have translucent areas which glow nicely with backlight. Failing that, a mirror would help with a screen backlighting with some sort of binary digital motif bokeh and some directional lighting on the top of the NIC. Value for money? I have played around with various MBs and IC boards to reasonably profitable effect. |
