very cool idea. i like the red of the apple against the green background, and how you can see where the arrow tip exited the apple. the shadow is great, too. the only suggestion i'd have for a possible change is to have a single-colored background (i have a thing for them, i have to admit), rather than half green, half black. -- gr8photos (7)

Very nice still life. Nits: background should probably be more consistantly black, I see dark blue and black. I know you couldn't "do" anything about it, but the exit wound on the apple is burst out (couldn't you trim the edges just a little?) I told you these were nits, please don't worry about them.
