Interesting photo and one where I like the overall mood and reflections quite a lot. But it doesn't seem to fulfill the notion of a still life IMO and therefore fails to meet the challenge.

A good solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it is an intersting image but of less than universal appeal because of it's rather flat color and appearance. Additionally, the foreground weed is a negative. A good entry into the challenge.

More of a lighted shot than a creative use of lighting, this image falls short of meeting the challenge criteria in several ways. While a good image, the author might have chosen to use the available lighting to create an effect rather than just a image that is actually of snapshot quality. A little more thought would have helped as there are possibilities in this image other than the one that was chosen.

I'm glad you couldn't control the grasses, the gold in the grass really brings out the gold on the building, and they make the building look less contrived. Lovely shot.

This is an intruiging shot, I love all the opposing colours and textures. I'm trying to work out whether you went b&w on the clouds, or whether they were naturally that grey, but it doesn't really matter - the end result is excellent!
