Great orginal idea - the very bright light of the upper left is a little distracting, but the tones you captured in hat & jacket are wonderful

The grain is fine, but the main subject is just too dark. I like the lines/contrast, just need to see the subject better.

I̢۪m sorry but I don̢۪t think this photo works. The subject is not interesting nor appealing to me. I have to ask myself would I want this picture on my wall and the answer is no. Now a picture of a book or paper can be a good micro but it̢۪s all in how you present the subject.. Your composition is off making a flat image. Even though it̢۪s in focus. Wish you the best.
