It's a New Year, Setting My Sails for Anythingby JEFFJSBComment by MrYu: Imo, a horizontal shot would be e alot more dynamic here, speaking of setting sails that is important. As it is, it's a good quality picture, but it's more of a portrait of a boat, rather than something conveying energy and thrill of new things. |

Geared for the Roadby JEFFJSBComment by taterbug: Good composition. Nice selective desat, however in this case I think it draws attention to the frame and away from the main subject, the gears. |

It's a New Year, Setting My Sails for Anythingby JEFFJSBComment by KiwiChris: Wow... Not so much the photo, but the concept of land-yatching on ice..... That's gotta be a huge rush.
Oh, and I like the photo as well, I think you've chosen a good crop, and you've done well in poor light. A bit more contrast would be nice, but you would have had to adjust the exposure in camera, not in PS/GIMP to do that without making it obvious. (+2/3rds of a stop compensation...)
