Nicely done with seeing the face twice, rather than the back of the head you usually get. Nice work, like it.

Interesting composition is flawed by harsh and direct flash lighting. If this is an external flash, try using bounce/fill flash if possible. Or try a softbox. Short of that, try some kleenex in front of the flash to help diffuse and soften the light.

This is clearly a self portrait, and there is a lot you can improve, I'm not trying to be mean, but here it goes.
Buy a tripod, even if it's a cheap one, you will love it, realy, for all kinds of shots.
If you used it here with the self-timer, it would allready get a lot better (everybody knows that you are holding it in your left hand)
It looks like there is some light behind the shades, pull them open, let as much light in as you can, get all lamps from your home put them somewhere around you. That way the flash won't have to flash this hard, and the lighting will look softer and you will get rid of that shadow of your face on the wall.
Offcourse if you open the shades you will have a window in your picture, no problem, just change your position.
The room doesn't look realy tidy, there is a lot of distraction going on in the background. This doesn't help your picture there is also some distraction going on on the wall next to the mirror.

Well I hope that you will mark this comment as helpfull even if I didn't say anything nice about your picture.

Oh, forgot, it's in focus. That's a good thing :-)

Update: With my score's your not even doing that bad, just counted, your my 52th place!

Unfortunately, this looks like someone working to take a picture of themself. You need to make it interesting. Could it be framed so that your arm doesn't look like its holding up a camera? Maybe you could attempt to show yourself with some particular mood like sorrow or joy, or you could try and portray yourself as some famous person. Technically, the image isn't all that bad, but natural lighting might eliminate the shadow effect on the wall behind the "real" person. You could also hang a black backdrop and remove the slightly seen, but distracting curtains, etc., in the back ground in the mirror. Anyway, those are my thoughts. Good luck with the challenge.
