I'm not sure if you planned it this way but:
IMO the "covering" over the girl is symbolic of the "water bag" that the fetus develops in. If you look at fetal pictures you will notice that the sac is very "lightweight" and translucent.
So to me, your model is the Mother but also represents the baby inside. Her outstretched arms seem to be symbolic of a "birth" or release of the baby.
I hope this makes sense!
