Keep trying. Your technique will improve. Try NOT using on camera flash unless it is an absolute necessity. NEVER use on camera flash and your images will improve vastly. If you have trouble figuring out how to do that with your model camera, simply place a strip of electrical tape over the flash.

The off center composition and high contrast are unconventional, but it works. I didn't particularly like this photo when I first saw it, but the more I examine it the more I like it.

Although I agree with the sentiment, this challenge is about the image, not a pun title. That said, the orientation of the pack serves to draw the viewer into the picture. The cropping, however, is problematic: the shadow on the left should not have been cut off, and it might have been better if the package had not been truncated at the top. Overall, the image is muddy...no real blacks or whites...trypunching it up by adjusting with 'levels' in Photoshop (or, better, with 'curves').
