there appears to be alot of burning done on this shot it is not well conceled and doesn't blend w/the image.
i seems unnessary and almost pops the flag and ppl out to the point where they look pasted on top of the backround.

if it wern't for that it would be a nice image...sorry (all IMO)

I thinks that a closer crop would have helped here. I feel that the flags aren't extremely vital to the piece, and seem like "patriotic" filler. (please don't take that negatively.) A nicer, closer and crisper view of the Veterans would have been great to see.

Left side is out of focus. The color seems kind of weird, but that might be the actual color of the shell. This might have been more interesting if the perspective was different.

Some of the delicacy of the shell is lost in the highlight - and as it is a static object it could have more DOF in the picture. Either the light directly above it was deliberatly placed or it was shot using available light. It has lots of potential.
If it was shot on a compact with little manual control over lighting then you have done well to emulate this type of still life. If you have a more versatile camera then it needed a little more care setting up and possibly, if you have bracketed exposures, one of the other may look slightly better. Good composition - nice cropping

Just a snapshot and not a good one either. The two guys next to the military man don't look like any heros at all. Flags not clear and showing them you also showed too much of the background wall.

Nicely captured. Good sillouhette. Some noise in the stern of the boat but there is very high contrast there. Not sure about the composition though? There seems to be an awful lot of empty space at the bottom of the shot, I know there are reflections but it still seems a bit much to me? Well done anyway, a six from me.
