Chickenby ChilibeanComment by SandyP: FanTASTIC texture! Just ever-so-slightly over-exposed, but the texture is such a standout, it doesn't affect it negatively much at ALL! 8 |

Chickenby ChilibeanComment by melismatica: Great capture of the eye and nice cropping. The highlights are a bit blown out for me. I'd like to see a bit more detail in those areas. |

Chickenby ChilibeanComment by Jutilda: I think I'd do some saturation work on the red tones, even if he didn't look any more red than the image shows. Great detail on the feathers. I like the DOF with the blurred fence behind him - it gives a bit of a story that way. Chickens crack me up. |

Into the Abyssby ChilibeanComment by wheeledd: I really like this image. It is one of the few entries that seems to be saying something about WATER rather than about some specific instance of water--like a lake or waterfall or drinking water.
To me, it expresses the fluidity of water. I love the swirling shapes that show the chaos of turbulent flow. |

Gosh, I Sure Hope That's Peanut Butter!by ChilibeanComment by loseme: *Critique Club*
Very interesting idea for the Pick Two challenge, you have defiantly meet the requirements of the challenge itself. I am surprised that you scored below a 5, but I guess that just how the voting goes someways.
The image itself has a nice soft feel, very artistic. The covers are nice and soft while still leaving enough glow on the peanut butter to bring out the subject. The overall composition is nice, I wish the stuff in the upper left and right could have been cropped out, it would probably have been pretty hard with leaving the dogs ears intact. This is really a great concept, I am surprised it didn't go over better. Maybe the soft glow feels a little too processed for some. The lighting looks like the sun is going down but is very appropriate for this piece. Good work on capturing the shot, I know my dog would not have been able to sit still with the peanut butter there. I think the placement of the dog in the background is just prefect, it give the shot a nice balance. |
