Hmmm, I'm not sure how this scares me. I think we are all afraid of dying, but I'm not sure this fence scares me to death. Maybe it's the vast emptyness on the other side. Anyway, this is actually a good photograph by technical aspects. I can't quite give you a great score though because it just doesn't bring a lot of fear to the viewer.

lovely shot but the alegorical often get hammered in these challenges. of course in a week this will be a much better photo than most of the top ten finishers when no one cares about the challenge topic.

Interesting contrast, tree, and fence line, but I think that cropping more would be better. Meeting the challenge is somewhat of a stretch.

I like the image, but somehow the fence seems to detract from the image overall. The dead grass along the fence line does a nice job of grounding the tree.

Just saw this. Didn't see it during the challenge. It is really beautiful. Worth framing if you have enough resolution for a large print. BTW you have some real cool equipment.
